we've been playing a lot of hide-and-go-seek lately (i mean, a lot ). the door to the dryer was open and beckoning me this morning, so i climbed right in. it was pretty comfortable.

look who i found in dean's closet:
hidden amidst the trucks and puzzles and band instruments in dean's closet, i found a little tiny shoe this morning. then mommy showed me who it belonged to: ivan, dean's baby. sue sue thought dean should have one of mommy's old cabbage patch kids, so she sent ivan home with him about 2 years ago (actually, it was around the time i entered the world). ivan doesn't get much love from dean, but i am intrigued.
he might be my new buddy. or maybe sue sue will let me pick out my own baby.

shower!
rainy day legos
tropical storm fay has been here the last few days, and she has brought us lots of clouds and some rain, too. we've been inside pretty much since wednesday. we've played lots of legos in dean's room. i'm getting better and putting them together, and i'm really good at pulling them apart and knocking dean's buildings over!

friday evening at the pool
da came home from work early last night, and we all went to the pool. when everyone comes, we can go down the slide, which is my definite favorite. i would go by myself, but mommy and da won't let me. maybe next summer.
and the fountains were on! this is dean's favorite. we ran around and around and got really wet!
this one is spraying right in my face!
who needs a diaper?

my take on the zoo
i'm sure you all check dean's blog first because his actually notifies you when it's been updated, so you know we went to the greenville zoo on thursday with sue sue and pop. i thought it was a pretty cool place. i was less interested in the animals than i was in escaping my own confines (the stroller). i really liked climbing all around this nice lion statue.
i look reasonably content here because i still had snack left in my snack bowl.
it was pretty hot that day, and the zoo had a misting station set up. dean and i really liked it and weren't afraid to get very up close and personal with it. i got pretty wet.
the last animal of the day: the chickens. dean was throwing them the remains of his snack, but i didn't have any left and had to settle for watching and pointing.
more backyard swimming
swimming and splashing (and some sand, too)
dean and i and mommy went to sue sue and pop's last week for some r & r. they blew up their little swimming pool for us, and we had a blast. for some reason, dean is always in charge of the hose when the pool is filling. i try to help myself but always end up getting really wet.
and here he is spraying me like crazy. it was cold!
when we got tired of swimming, we would go sit under the porch and play in the sandbox. what nice afternoons we had!
