i decided the other day that i was tired of just leaning over the train table to play. i wanted to play on the train table. so i just climbed on up to get a closer look at the lego supermarket.

i love bouncing on my bouncing zebra!! (incidentally, dean loves bouncing on it, too. i'm going to have to devise a way of cleverly diverting him off of it so i can ride.)

at long last: my first birthday bash!

here are some pics of my cake-eating experience. sue sue made me a special 1st birthday bib, and it soon was covered in blue icing! i wasn't so sure about the cake at first, but i got going!! it turned out to be kind of messy.....

chicken pox?

you can't see them too terribly well in this picture (they're concentrated mostly on my forehead), but guess who got the chicken pox? me. crazy world it is. it turns out on tuesday at doc stone's they injected me with a live chicken pox shot, and some people get a mild case of the pox. it hasn't slowed me down at all as you can see. my new thing is climbing up the slide outside. i think it's great until dean comes sliding down and we both go falling over.

in other more dental-type news: i got two new teeth this week. they are my upper first year molars. i now have 10 teeth!

one year doc stone visit

this morning mommy took dean and i to our well child checks at doc stone's. we don't see him very much, which is a good thing, but there is lots of action when we do go. he said i looked 'perfect' and told mommy to 'keep up the good work!'

i did have to get 3 shots :( but i got a special bouncy ball and 3 little band-aids to make me feel better.

it's my birthday! happy happy birthday!

yes, today is my 1st birthday! crazy, huh? doesn't seem like a year's gone by (i've come along way in that year). we're having a low-key day with lunch at chick fil-A (i had some bites of milkshake!!!) and will celebrate with cake, etc. on saturday. i'll be sure to post plenty of pictures of that.

in other big news i got my carseat turned around so now i can face forward. it's very exciting! i can see where we're going now!
