mommy and da went to da's work christmas party last night and won this awesome m&m dispenser in the gift swap!! it is taking potty-training (of which i'm not really training anymore but more like 'trained') to the next level of fun!

mommy and i made cupcakes for my class christmas party today. i was a big help by stirring, stirring, stirring.



after they were baked and iced, i taste-tested them, too.

we have lowered the seat on dean's trike to see if i'm ready to ride it. i've been practicing, and i do a pretty good job of pedaling!

i really have been enjoying all our christmas decorations. the other day i wanted to get an up-close look at mommy's snow village... it's so hard not to touch!!

we had breakfast with santa yesterday, and mimi and gan gan came with us, too!

then after we were done eating, we got to sit on his lap and tell him what we want for christmas.

big boy bed!

time for another milestone here at our house: moving to the big boy bed! it's been a long time coming. mommy just likes to make 'major changes' when she has a few nights off of work and can be a little more relaxed about things. so here we are.

these are the last pictures of me with my crib (which was dean's crib, too). da took it down and put it in the attic.

my new bed is temporarily dean's trundle bed. it's close to the ground, so if i fall out, i'll be okay. when we move to our new house, i'm going to get a new big boy bed, but for now this is great!

creative sunday afternoon

we went to a gingerbread man decorating party this afternoon. dean and i had a great time decorating our gingerbread men. they had lots and lots of candy on them!

i have been doing so well with my potty training! mommy can't remember the last time i had an accident, and amazingly, i wake up almost every morning with dry pants. (now the downside to this is that mommy or da have to get up with me a couple times a night to use the potty). mommy asked me yesterday if i wanted to wear real big boy pants and put my training pants away. 'yes!' i said. here comes my thomas the train big boy underpants.

birthday party!

one of our super nice friends had his birthday party at a gymnastics gym yesterday. we had the best best time! we ran around and played and played!

there were things for us to swing on:




we loved jumping into and playing in this pit.


and dean loved holding onto the rope swing and jumping in, too! what a great afternoon we had!
